The natural world doesn’t know what brand of jacket is worn by those that visit it.  It doesn’t know how far was hiked or how fast. People impact it, as it impacts people - but it has no memory. It will not write down sagas or tales. The responsibility of documenting, embellishing, and bringing to life the interactions of man and nature falls to people. Humor and the absurd. Struggles and the sublime. And to help remember times when people sit in the moment and are RAPT.
